Summary:

Reporting to the Commercial Software Development Manager, the incumbent will be details oriented and have a strong client focus in order to guide clients through the integration and user acceptance testing phases of projects.

Time-management, problem-solving, communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and deliver successful outcomes are integral to this role. 

Major Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements and develop test strategy
• Present test plans to clients
• Design and implement test systems to ensure product quality and conformance
• Provide support to development team by tracking, verifying and resolving defects
• Specify and implement verification environment and support the development team by running test cases within the environment
• Debug complex problems to characterize potential root cause
• Bench mark testing with focus on performance
• Manage clients through the entire UAT phase of the project
• Other duties as they arise

Skills and Experience:

• Degree or diploma in IT or related discipline (ideally incorporating Perl, VB, SQL, MS .NET technologies).
• Must have excellent English Business communication skills
• Must have excellent presentation skills
• Thorough understanding of black box, white box, and end-to-end solution testing
• Knowledge of HP Quality Center is asset
• 3 – 5 years of quality assurance testing experience in a commercial environment
• Some knowledge of programming languages, preferably: Perl, SQL, and VB6
• Initiative and innovation skills with passion for process improvement
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Ability to present concepts in business environments
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, but also in a team environment
