Quality Assurance Analyst is an experienced QA technical professional with an understanding of how all pieces of a complex distributed system interact and function together. The position emphasizes (80%) mainframe and middleware testing and requires past experience testing such systems. The position requires QA experience understanding detailed business requirements and creating test plans to support them. The individual will have both the technical and business skills required to test enterprise-class system software within the software development lifecycle. This position requires experience leading QA for projects, coordinating and leading UAT, supporting other QA and business users in their testing effort, working with developers, doing data setup, logging and tracking bugs, providing status and risk assessment. Prior QA experience and technical aptitude is required. A technical degree is required to be able to work with all the technologies and tools used in testing; particularly mainframe, database & Web technologies.
Demonstrate key QA skills and practices.
Execute test cases, both manual and automated, for assigned areas.
Report test results and defects utilizing appropriate departmental software programs
Demonstrate technical skills to support QA automation and backend testing.
Produce significant and measurable results in QA efficiency
Review Requirement specifications, attend review meetings, provide feedback, create test plans from requirements and present test plans for review and sign off.
Ability work flexible hours and remotely as needed to accommodate global development schedules.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in CS/MIS/IT or other relevant technical degree.
4+ years experience as a Software QA Analyst
Experience testing complex mainframe and middleware software.
Experience in 1 or more of the following: Programming/scripting languages (C#/Perl/etc), command line operation systems (Unix, Linux, VMS, Windows commands), XML, Web Services or SQL
Background in stock, finance and/or banking industry
