Computershare e3 Filing dept is one of the nation's largest filing agents, providing compliance filing services of required continuous disclosure documentation through the CSA regulated SEDAR system and the SEC regulated EDGAR system to a growing client base. The e3 Filing Professionals are primarily responsible for receiving, reviewing and submitting (filing) documents received from clients, as well as developing and fostering strong client relationships.
This On-call Casual position may be ideal for qualified students looking for flexible work time, or those wanting to supplement part time work with extra hours. Needed staffing would be around the 15th and 30th of the month, with extra work during regular staff vacation periods or added work volumes. It is flexible daytime work, and may continue into evening hours. Candidates would be technically computer savvy and fast working on two monitors, and be creative and competent to deal with the high level of multi-tasking in order to meet peak workload demands. The challenge is to complete the filings efficiently, within deadlines, supporting and working with the energetic e3 Filing team across Computershare Canada. Complete training will be provided for this entry level role.
Major Responsibilities:
To receive filing documents from clients in various formats (mainly via e-mail) and review contents for format and accuracy / relevance.
To make any format changes to filings, as required or agreed upon with the client.
To process all filings requests as necessary through the SEDAR or EDGAR systems. Prepare confirmations of filings.
To update Client Profiles on the SEDAR software or the EDGAR system as required. Maintain Client files.
To act as a representative towards increasing our Client base developing and maintaining great Client relationships.
To expertly and authoritatively respond to inquiries on SEDAR/EDGAR from clients and staff.
To provide input towards internal filing procedures when requested.
To generate reports from the SEDAR system as required/requested.
To perform any other duties as assigned by the National Team Leader or their designate.
Skills and Experience:
High school graduation
Supplemental post secondary business or computer skills courses preferred
Intermediate or advanced level PC skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Work with HTML, Adobe Acrobat, Dream Weaver or Formatting, Outlook navigation an asset
Typing speed 60+ wpm
Bilingualism (both English and French language skills) an asset
Securities industry experience an asset
Exceptional client service and communication skills
Ability to work equally well within a team dynamic and to be independently self reliant
Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
Focused on 100% accuracy, has meticulous attention to detail
Flexibility with respect to earlier or later hours, overtime may be required
