Functions as part of centralized business unit and handles all disbursements processing for all branches across Canada. Delivers the highest level of service to Clients and their Shareholders through the accurate processing of Dividend, Interest and Employee Share Purchase Plan payments. Ensures that all disbursements processing are completed by required time standards based upon Client specifications and/or internal standards.
This role requires you to facilitate the issuance of dividends and interest payments to security holders by interacting with various groups in the organization including Client Services, Operations and Computershare Communication Services.
Ensure that all processing is completed accurately and in the time standards required based on client requirements and/or internal standards.
Ensure compliance with the unique terms and conditions as well as internal service standards governing each Disbursement, Plan and/or Client service agreement.
Validate critical incoming disbursement/dividend reinvestment criteria to ensure appropriate logic is being applied throughout entire process.
Ensure that all applicable fees are charged and processed accordingly.
Provide accurate and timely service and advice based on a full understanding of the client's requests and our internal standards/procedures.
Cross-train between various units under the Disbursement umbrella and apply such knowledge on a regular basis.
Write or modify text to accurately communicate to others using precise language to avoid misunderstanding of sometimes complex information.
Use basic arithmetic, established arithmetic formulas or procedures to calculate or prepare information.
Plan most aspects of their own work within specified deadlines with occasional need to change the priorities of the job.
Perform routine, specialized or technical tasks, or procedures requiring specialized knowledge of the requirements to pay dividends or interest and/or administer reinvestment plans.
Must be able to cross-train between various units under the Disbursement umbrella and apply such knowledge on a regular basis.
Skills and Experience:
Post Secondary Education required.
Canadian Securities Course and/or Trust Institute course is optional but preferred.
Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented.
Must be proactive and someone who takes initiative.
Exceptional ability to meet multiple deadlines daily.
Ability to multi-task between daily operational responsibilities and projects as assigned.
Must have excellent Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) application skills.
Ability to work overtime during weeknights and weekends as required.
Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the department, including working in a rotating shift schedule between the hours of 8:30am and 7pm.
