Computershare is seeking an experienced client relationship manager that will be responsible for building and maintaining strong B2B client relationships in the broker dealer space. This position is the primary contact between Computershare Trust Company of Canada and an assigned group of registered plan (RRSP, RRIF, RESP, TFSA) trustee clients. The incumbent must respond to client inquiries via email or telephone, attend client meetings when requested, provide client documentation, monitor client compliance with Computershare's policies and implement the terms and conditions of existing trust agreements. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with experience interacting at a C-suite level, demonstrated success proactively identifying and resolving client issues and managing client expectations, while continually increasing client loyalty and overall client satisfaction.

Major Responsibilities:
Overseeing the day-to-day activities of the regional registered plan (RRSP, RRIF, TFSA and RESP) client files to ensure quality of service, including coaching and assisting clients with registered plan issues that arise, such as, estate settlements, bankruptcies, seizures, legal claims and requests for various releases of funds.
Respond to client inquiries and questions on registered plan legislative, administrative and policy issues, either by phone, email or in writing, including researching issues, interpreting legislation, analyzing client needs and/or consulting with management as necessary.
Maintaining current with all federal and provincial registered plan legislation through web site review and direct contact with the Federal/Provincial legislative units for registered products in order to ensure that Computershare's documents and policies are current.
Build client understanding of Computershare's client procedure manual to ensure that clients can efficiently resolve issues.
Liaising with senior executive corporate clients regarding items such as fees, receivables, interest payments, uninvested cash balances and assets under administration.
Maintaining and updating a detailed policy and procedure document for distribution to clients.
Accounts receivable responsibility, including; billing, reviewing client invoices for accuracy and authorization of same in order to ensure all A/Rs are billed accurately.
Monitoring client administrative/record keeping functions to ensure compliance with Computershare policies and subsequent risk management reporting.
Identifying potential business opportunities and working with a sales department to attract new business.
Skills and Experience:
Minimum 5 years relationship management experience in a financial services or broker/dealer environment with direct experience in registered plan administration (RRSPs, RRIFs, RESPs, TFSAs, etc.) or in a compliance role.
Working knowledge of pension industry, specifically locked-in products and legislation.
Undergraduate degree with working knowledge of investment industry and related products, completion of the Canadian Securities Course and/or Institute of Canadian Bankers Retirement and Benefits courses would be an asset.
A driven self starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong ability to manage expectations and conflicts with clients.
Resolution of escalations at both an administrative and executive level.
Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills.
Responsive with a priority focus on customer service.
Strong computer skills with proficiency with Excel, Outlook and MS Word.
Limited travel may be required in some instances.
Fluency in French would be an asset.
