ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
¨ Prepares inventory schedules.
¨ Provides cost effective procurement or liaising with client organizations.
¨ Continually monitors and develops relationships with suppliers.
¨ Maintains optimal levels of inventory and identifies appropriate re-order points.
¨ Integrates inventory management with company's internal resources.
¨ Maintains accurate stock system information about inventory held by company.
¨ Oversees workflow of production materials from receipt of raw materials through effective disposal of production by-product materials.
¨ Understands and implements company approach to relationship marketing.
¨ Works closely with Warehouse Manager and team to insure balance between physical inventory levels, JIT delivery of materials, and workflow/distribution of materials to production..
QUALIFICATIONS .
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 4-6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Position has no supervisory responsibilities.
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL ABILITY
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Word processing, spreadsheets, Internet, e-mail, and database software knowledge is recommended.
