The Human Resources Representative (HRR) contributes to the overall Human Resources function by successfully completing various ongoing duties in support of Human Resources and Recruiting. In addition to general HR support for assigned populations and special project completion, the HRR is also accountable for national activities associated with the development and conduct of comprehensive recruiting for regular employees as well as coordinating the selection and on-boarding of regional temporary work staff for most business units.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
In support of the Human Resources function:
Works with local employees and managers to help clarify any human resource policies and procedures. Refers difficult or complex matters to supervisor as needed.
Assists managers/supervisors/employees with human resources issues including employee relations, policy and procedures, training, programs, etc.
Partners with national HR team to develop and implement HR practices, policies and initiatives.
Responsible for or assists with various employee events in support of favorable employee relations.
Fingerprint processing for assigned population
Maintains company Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) by recording all relevant information for new hires, terminations, and training information within the established deadlines for all Computershare regions.
Local new hire orientation and processing. Coordinates new hire packets and benefit kits.
Generalist administrative responsibilities for the region, such as wellness and tuition reimbursement processing and fingerprint reconciliation processing
Maintains employee files, history reports, finger print cards, employment verifications, unemployment claims, OSHA survey reporting and worker’s compensation claims.
Coordinates all leave of absence processing and communications.
Maintains redundancy data,
Processes terminations by closing personnel files, processing final paycheck, and conducting exit interviews.
In support of the Recruitment function:
Develop and maintain productive relationships with Hiring Managers and external business partners to define and implement appropriate recruiting programs to meet manpower needs.
Coordinates approval for hires.
Coordinate and administer the staffing of temps for Call Center operations as well as other business units, to include forwarding script results, setting up interview schedules, handling agency email traffic)
Post job requisitions on company intranet and external national job boards and regional/industry specific job boards and social network sites.
In support of national recruitment team as well as primary accountability for assigned population, the HRR interviews and screens applicants for technical competence, applicable background, and skills.
Utilize recruiting applicant tracking system to manage candidate data as use as a resource in developing, tracking, and analyzing reports that measure the life cycle of open job requisitions in terms of days open and time to fill.
Makes employment recommendations based on information developed through interviews, reference checks, applications, and resumes.
Develop candidate correspondence, generate offer letters, rejection letters and send new hire packages. Conduct pre-employment skill set tests, background checks and drug screen compliance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word, Internet and Human Resources and ATS software knowledge is recommended.
Travel required every other week to NJ offices as needed and monthly day trip to Shelton, CT office.
